Living Labs supports a variety of live learning environments. We partner with trusted vendors for hydroponics, garden, and greenhouse systems while we specialize in aquaponics systems for schools.
All systems are supported under the Living Labs framework to ensure long-term reliability and instructional use.
Living Labs aquaponics systems are delivered as complete instructional environments, not standalone equipment. Each system integrates three essential components—the physical system, professional support, and instructional supplies—to ensure reliability, instructional readiness, and long-term success.
This structure reflects how aquaponics systems actually function in schools and protects district investments over time.
The Physical Learning Environment
Living Labs aquaponics systems are designed specifically for schools and districts. Systems are engineered for durability, biological stability, and daily student interaction.
System features include:
The system creates the learning environment—but does not operate itself.
Keeping the System Alive and Instruction-Ready
Aquaponics systems are living systems. Without ongoing care, they fail.
Every Living Labs aquaponics system includes Living Labs Core Support, ensuring systems remain operational, biologically balanced, and ready for instruction throughout the school year.
Core Support includes:
Core Support maintains the system itself and protects learning continuity.
Materials for Teaching and Learning
Instructional Supply Packs provide the consumable materials teachers and students use during aquaponics instruction. These supplies are intentionally separate from system maintenance.
Supply Packs support:
Supply Packs are available as:
Supply Packs ensure teachers can focus on learning—not sourcing materials.
Living Labs aquaponics systems are:
Districts can pilot with a single system or deploy multiple systems while maintaining consistent support and instructional readiness.
All Living Labs aquaponics systems are sold with a required Living Labs Support plan to ensure long-term reliability, biological health, and instructional readiness.

Living Labs designs aquaponics systems specifically for schools. Our systems are built to support real instruction, fit within school constraints, and remain stable with proper support. We currently offer two aquaponics system sizes—Small and Medium—along with classroom supply kits to support daily instruction. All systems are designed to be supported under the Living Labs framework to ensure long-term success.

The Small Aquaponics System is designed for classrooms and small lab spaces. It provides a complete, visible aquaponics cycle while remaining manageable for teachers and students.
