Aquaponics Systems by Living Labs

Complete Systems for Schools—Designed, Supported, and Ready for Learning

Living Labs aquaponics systems are delivered as complete instructional environments, not standalone equipment. Each system integrates three essential components—the physical system, professional support, and instructional supplies—to ensure reliability, instructional readiness, and long-term success.

This structure reflects how aquaponics systems actually function in schools and protects district investments over time.

1. The Aquaponics System

The Physical Learning Environment

Living Labs aquaponics systems are designed specifically for schools and districts. Systems are engineered for durability, biological stability, and daily student interaction.

System features include:

  • Purpose-built designs for classroom, lab, or greenhouse use
  • School-safe components and layouts
  • Scalable configurations for district deployment
  • Installation coordination and commissioning

The system creates the learning environment—but does not operate itself.

2. Living Labs Core Support

Keeping the System Alive and Instruction-Ready

Aquaponics systems are living systems. Without ongoing care, they fail.

Every Living Labs aquaponics system includes Living Labs Core Support, ensuring systems remain operational, biologically balanced, and ready for instruction throughout the school year.

Core Support includes:

  • Scheduled maintenance visits
  • Mechanical and electrical system checks
  • BioSystems Support (plants and fish for system health)
  • System stabilization and troubleshooting
  • Training and follow-up instructional support

Core Support maintains the system itself and protects learning continuity.

3. Instructional Supply Packs

Materials for Teaching and Learning

Instructional Supply Packs provide the consumable materials teachers and students use during aquaponics instruction. These supplies are intentionally separate from system maintenance.

Supply Packs support:

  • Planting and harvesting activities
  • Water testing and data collection
  • Routine classroom interaction
  • Year-long instructional use

Supply Packs are available as:

  • 3-Month Starter Packs
  • Full-Year Supply Packs

Supply Packs ensure teachers can focus on learning—not sourcing materials.

Designed for District Implementation

Living Labs aquaponics systems are:

  • Delivered with support built in
  • Compatible with equipment and supply funding
  • Standardized for repeat deployment
  • Scalable across multiple schools

Districts can pilot with a single system or deploy multiple systems while maintaining consistent support and instructional readiness.

All Living Labs aquaponics systems are sold with a required Living Labs Support plan to ensure long-term reliability, biological health, and instructional readiness.

Aquaponics Systems for Schools
